About Hawkhurst in Bloom
Our first project was the creation of a small groundwork project on the site opposite Tesco’s. The floral disciples have increased over the years and now make a real impact across the village. We continue to upgrade our initial project, namely Smuggler’s Cove.
An increasingly successful part of the work of Hawkhurst in Bloom is the annual Garden Competition which focuses on the best front gardens and best hanging baskets across the village. We also work with the local Primary School involving competitions such as which class grew the tallest Sunflower.
We are fortunate to be funded by the Parish Council alongside some sponsorship from local businesses and undertake various fundraising projects throughout the year, such as running a stall at the village fete. We are always delighted to welcome new volunteers to help with the planning, planting and watering so please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or would like to join us.
